Ministry of Education Sets Up Panel to Probe IIIT Ranchi Student's Death

The Ministry of Education constituted a three-member panel to examine circumstances surrounding the death of a first-year IIIT Ranchi student found hanging in his hostel room.

The committee is headed by Delhi University South Campus director Professor Rajni Abhi and includes a senior psychiatrist and a ministry official.

The panel will assess implementation of guidelines, basic facilities, counselling arrangements, and student grievance mechanisms following student protests over campus safety.
