Manchester City finalized a £125 million transfer for 25-year-old midfielder Enzo Fernández from Chelsea as the summer window closed.
The fee matches the British transfer record previously set by Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool, with Fernández departing Chelsea after 170 appearances and 31 goals.
Fernández, who won the Club World Cup with Chelsea, reunites with his former head coach at Manchester City following his three-and-a-half-year tenure at Stamford Bridge.
