Bloomsbury Institute Loses Student Sponsor Licence

The UK Home Office revoked the Bloomsbury Institute's licence to sponsor international students on August 5, 2026, after the institution failed to meet Basic Compliance Assessment standards.

The institute failed to meet thresholds for visa refusal rates, course enrolment, and completion, which were assessed prior to the implementation of stricter standards on June 1, 2026.

Existing international students will be permitted to continue their studies for a short period, after which they will be supported to transfer to other institutions or seek alternative visa routes.
