Actor Imran Khan filed a petition in the Bombay High Court challenging a police notice directing him to leave India by October 28.
The notice was issued following the US citizen and OCI cardholder's participation in a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The petition terms the police directive illegal and argues that no statutory rules prohibit OCI cardholders from taking part in peaceful protests.
