Delhi Police Document Confirms RAF Fired Pellets at Protesters

A general diary entry from the Parliament Street police station confirms the Rapid Action Force fired pellet rounds during the July 20 protest at Jantar Mantar.

The RAF Deputy Commandant fired 55 non-electrical shells, 15 electrical shells, five tear smoke grenades, and two rounds of plastic pellets on the orders of a DCP-rank officer.

The incident, which left at least four people injured including 19-year-old Sahil Lochab, is now part of a Supreme Court petition seeking to ban metallic kinetic projectiles for crowd control.
