Three Killed in Elephant Conflicts in Assam

Three people were killed in separate incidents of conflict with elephants in Assam's Sonitpur and Karbi Anglong districts on Tuesday.

The incidents occurred between 4 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., with one victim killed while trying to shield his children.

Six people have died in human-elephant conflicts in Assam in the last fortnight, with the state reporting about 150 such deaths annually.
