The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a public interest plea seeking directions for the mandatory recitation of the Constitution's Preamble during school morning assemblies.
A Bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath, Augustine George Masih, and Sandeep Mehta presided over the case.
The bench rejected the petition after observing that the Preamble is already taught to students in Class 6 classrooms.
