Two Infants Die in Fire at Telangana Hospital

Two preterm infants died after a fire broke out in the Special Newborn Care Unit ward of RIMS in Adilabad on Monday night.

The blaze originated from a burst air-conditioner in the reception area, causing smoke accumulation that prompted attendants to break glass windows for evacuations.

Twenty-five other infants were safely rescued and shifted to private hospitals, while Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy ordered an official inquiry into the incident.
