Asaduddin Owaisi slams successive governments over minority representation at South Conclave

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi criticized successive governments at the India Today South Conclave for treating religious minorities as a vote bank while failing to ensure proportional representation.

Owaisi raised concerns that the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision exercise could act as a backdoor NRC and opposed the Uniform Civil Code and parliamentary delimitation based on population.

Former Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa also criticized the poll body's response to questions over the SIR exercise, comparing its concessions to applying a band-aid to a fracture.
