Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the United Nations General Assembly that last month's catastrophic floods served as a warning about climate change.
The disaster killed over 1,400 people, left 6,000 missing, and caused billions of dollars in economic devastation along the Nepal-China border.
Mr. Shah proposed creating a Himalaya Climate Resilience Mechanism involving Nepal, India, and China to share satellite data and monitor glacial lakes.
