Supreme Court Directs Guruvayur Temple to Conduct Udayasthamana Pooja as per Traditions

The Supreme Court issued an interim order on Thursday directing that the Udayasthamana Pooja at the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple be conducted according to traditional practices.

A Bench led by Justice Aravind Kumar emphasized that devotee faith and sentiments must take precedence over management hurdles cited during massive Ekadasi crowds.

The court scheduled the final hearing for the main appeal in December, following challenges against devaswom committee decisions to reschedule the rituals on Vrishchikam Ekadasi.
