Ho Chi Minh City Expands English as Second Language

Ho Chi Minh City has launched a roadmap to establish English as a second language in schools, aiming for 60–70% of institutions to implement integrated programs by 2045.

Currently, over 206,800 preschool children participate in English programs, and more than 90% of public schools offer enhanced English or bilingual curricula.

The city plans to address teacher shortages and infrastructure gaps through public-private partnerships and digital learning resources between 2026 and 2030.
