A sleep specialist on a recent podcast advised that workouts should ideally be done in the morning or completed before 7 p.m. to avoid sleep disruption.
Dr. Sunil Kumar K of Aster CMI Hospital noted that while moderate evening exercise is generally safe, intense workouts late at night elevate body temperature and heart rate.
Experts recommend finishing vigorous exercise at least two to three hours before bedtime to prevent delayed sleep onset and maintain overall sleep quality.
