Eighteen-year-old Indian squash player Anahat Singh defeated sixth-seed Salma Hany 3-2 in Redwood City on Friday to reach the Silicon Valley Open semifinals.
After losing the first game 11-4, Anahat recovered to win the match across five games with scores of 4-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-2, 11-5.
Anahat advanced to face Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam in the semifinal round.
