
Gulveer Singh became the first Indian to win a 5000m medal at the Commonwealth Games, securing bronze in Glasgow on Saturday.
The 28-year-old finished the race in 13 minutes 24.95 seconds, completing a historic double after his 10,000m silver medal win on July 28.
Singh edged out Kenya's Cornelius Kemboi by 0.04 seconds to claim the podium spot, despite running slower than his national record of 12 minutes 59.77 seconds.
