Actor Kamal Haasan congratulated South African jurist and former International Criminal Court judge Navi Pillay on winning the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
Pillay was awarded the prize by the Norwegian Nobel Committee for her contributions to international law, human rights, and prosecuting war crimes and genocide.
Haasan praised her journey from an indentured labourer's granddaughter in South Africa to a pioneering jurist who opposed apartheid and established sexual violence as an act of genocide.
