The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday rejected anticipatory bail for actor and former TMC MLA Soham Chakraborty in a criminal case.
The charges allege that Chakraborty took money from a producer to act in a film but failed to perform or return the funds.
An FIR was registered at Balurghat police station on May 21 under counts of criminal breach of trust and aggravated criminal intimidation.
