The Sports Authority of India stated that the three European competitions were omitted from the Annual Calendar for Training and Competition and that proposals were submitted past the mandatory 30-day window.
PV Sindhu highlighted on social media that younger players faced severe disadvantages on tour without timely government funds, often competing without coaches or withdrawing from events.
