WhatsApp is rolling out a new bill payment feature in India, allowing users to manage and pay utility bills directly within the app by connecting to the Bharat Connect network.

The service supports over 22,700 billers across 30 categories, including electricity, gas, water, FASTag, insurance premiums, credit cards, and loan repayments, accessible via a dedicated ₹ icon.

The feature is being introduced in stages for both Android and iOS users over the next few weeks, enabling customers to manage multiple accounts for homes, offices, or family members in one location.
