BJP Demands Congress Withdraw Support to Hemant Soren Government

Jharkhand BJP leaders staged a protest outside Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence in Ranchi, demanding his resignation and a CBI inquiry into alleged recruitment examination irregularities.

BJP leaders Babulal Marandi and Aditya Sahu were detained by police during the demonstration, which followed a lathi-charge on students protesting for over 17 days.

Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi condemned the police violence against students, while the BJP challenged the Congress to withdraw support from the JMM-led government.
