Dubai’s first Etihad Rail passenger service commenced operations on Wednesday, connecting Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in the UAE.
The inaugural train departed Al Yalayis Station at 6:14 am and arrived in Abu Dhabi at 7:18 am, completing the journey in one hour and two minutes.
The passenger trains can travel at speeds of up to 200 kmph, carry up to 400 passengers, and operate 10 daily services between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
