A Bengaluru civil court issued an ex parte ad interim injunction on September 19 restraining the circulation of false and defamatory content against Nani's film The Paradise.
The order followed a plea by producer Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, arguing that malicious online posts could cause irreversible financial damage ahead of the September 24 release.
The court held that the producer established a prima facie case that the material aimed to diminish the film's commercial value.
