Three men were killed on the spot when a speeding tanker rammed into their motorcycle near Ukanda village in Patoda tehsil of Beed district late Thursday night.

The victims were identified as Kailas Aba Tule, Akshay Shinde, and Rishikesh Fulzadake, who were travelling from Ahilyanagar district to their hometown in Beed.

Locals blamed highway expansion work for lacking basic safety precautions such as reflective radium strips, barricades, and warning signage at construction points.
