Kishan’s innings, supported by Kumar Kushagra’s 101, marks only the third time a team has crossed 700 runs in first-class cricket at the Chepauk stadium.

South Zone bowlers struggled to contain the scoring, with Tripurana Vijay taking 4-180, as East Zone now holds a significant advantage in the championship match.
