JNU Executive Council to Confer 'Professor Emeritus' Title on Amitabh Mattoo

Jawaharlal Nehru University's Executive Council decided to confer the 'Professor Emeritus' title on Amitabh Mattoo, Dean of the School of International Studies.

The title will become effective following Mattoo's voluntary retirement from the university on February 28, 2027.

Mattoo is a Padma Shri awardee and currently the only recipient of the honor actively serving on the JNU rolls among 16 emeritus professors.
