Supreme Court Issues Notice to Tamil Nadu on K. Vellathurai's Bail Plea

The Supreme Court issued notice to the Tamil Nadu government on a bail plea filed by K. Vellathurai, an accused in the Palani math land fraud case.

A Bench led by Justice B.V. Nagarathna also issued notice on an intervention plea filed by the State, following the Madras High Court's August dismissal.

The CB-CID arrested Vellathurai and others in July over the alleged illegal sale of 1.40 acres of Dhandapani Swamy Math land.
