Filmmaker Vinod Kapri accused exhibitors and distributors of cutting over 75% of his low-budget film Pyre's shows following the theatrical release of Ramayana.
Kapri stated on Instagram that his film's screenings dropped from over 400 shows back to fewer than 100 despite positive word of mouth from audiences.
The director questioned the fairness of the reduction, highlighting that Pyre was made on a modest budget of ₹2.5 crore and features non-actors.
