Centre Reconstitutes CBFC with Preity Zinta and Pankaj Tripathi on Panel

The Centre reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification on Wednesday into an 18-member panel headed by chairperson Shashi Shekhar Vempati.

The new board includes actors Preity Zinta, Pankaj Tripathi, Suniel Shetty, and Prosenjit Chatterjee, alongside filmmaker Priyadarshan and musician Ricky Kej.

Constituted with immediate effect, the panel will serve a three-year term or until further orders, replacing the previous board that operated past 2020.
