The Bar Council of India (BCI) officially revoked its order freezing the enrolment of the 2026 graduating batch from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, on August 14, 2026.
The initial directive, issued by BCI Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra, sought to bar students from enrolment following a controversy regarding an invitation extended to the Chief Justice of India.
Following widespread protests and internal opposition from BCI members who labeled the move 'manifestly arbitrary,' the council confirmed that all eligible 2026 graduates may now proceed with their enrolment.
