CJP Threatens New Protests Over Centre's Alleged Breach of Agreement

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) warned of renewed protests on July 27, 2026, accusing the Centre of violating a July 25 agreement to halt punitive actions against student demonstrators.

While the Bihar government pledged to withdraw all FIRs registered before 6 p.m. on July 26, the West Bengal government has initiated legal action under the new Public Safety Act against 70 individuals.

CJP leaders Kapil Sibal, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka demanded the immediate release of detained students and the withdrawal of all pending FIRs to avoid a return to Jantar Mantar.
