The Karnataka Cabinet discussed a proposal to increase the price of Nandini milk by ₹8 per litre following demands from milk producers and district unions.
Implementation of the price hike is expected to be delayed because the Model Code of Conduct is currently in force for the Legislative Council elections.
The state government plans to seek permission from the Election Commission of India before moving forward with the revised milk pricing.
