UK Agrees to Provide Aerial Refuelling Support to Saudi Arabia

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced that the Royal Air Force will provide air-to-air refuelling for Saudi planes to repel attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The limited military support agreement will run for a matter of weeks and involves one RAF Voyager refuelling Saudi aircraft on defensive missions, though it will be kept under review.

The conflict reignited as Houthis launched missile and drone strikes targeting Saudi Arabia and declared a blockade on Saudi shipping in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
