Omar Abdullah challenges BJP to bring UCC Bill in Parliament

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday challenged the BJP to introduce the Uniform Civil Code Bill in Parliament instead of pushing it through individual states.

Abdullah claimed that NDA ally Janata Dal (United) stated that the UCC would not be implemented in Bihar, indicating a lack of consensus within the coalition.

He welcomed the de-escalation along the Line of Actual Control and described the BRICS summit's condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack as a foreign policy success.
