India Has Moved from Ambition to Execution in Semiconductors, Says Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated at Semicon India in New Delhi that India's semiconductor ambitions have shifted from aspiration to concrete on-the-ground execution.

Vaishnaw noted that five out of twelve plants approved under Semicon 1.0 are already conducting commercial production alongside strong progress in talent development.

The minister highlighted the training of 70,000 design engineers and praised the event's scale, featuring 600 exhibits with participation from Singapore, Japan, and South Korea.
