INS Mangrol, anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft, inducted into Navy

INS Mangrol, the third anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft, was inducted into the Indian Navy off Mumbai on October 12, 2026.

Built by Cochin Shipyard Limited under Make in India initiatives, the vessel features over 80 percent indigenous content and waterjet propulsion.

The ship is equipped with an Abhay hull-mounted sonar, lightweight torpedoes, an indigenous rocket launcher, and the Mareech Advanced Torpedo Decoy System.
