White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia was let go from her role on Friday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he told her to reconsider the position following public scrutiny.
Ms. Zacharia started the job on Monday and held her debut briefing on Tuesday, having been offered the role last Friday to succeed Karoline Leavitt.
Her legal career drew scrutiny after she described herself as a lawyer during TV and social media appearances, but admitted on Thursday that she did not pass the bar.
