Delhi has surpassed its entire monthly rainfall average for August within just the first eight days of the month, according to latest IMD data.
The city recorded significant precipitation, leading to 81 waterlogging complaints and 32 reports of fallen trees, severely disrupting traffic across the National Capital Region.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for several states, warning that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to continue throughout the coming week.
