Sri Lanka Court Convicts 14 in 2019 Easter Sunday Bombings Case

A Sri Lankan High Court convicted 14 out of 24 defendants directly involved in the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 279 people.

The convicted individuals were found guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit terrorism, and possessing firearms and explosives.

Sentencing for the guilty parties will occur later today, with nine other defendants acquitted and one found guilty on fewer charges.
