Manipur Congress Flags Rs 8,927 Crore Unspent Funds in CAG Report

Manipur Congress Legislature Party leader K Meghachandra cited the CAG report to reveal that Rs 8,927.55 crore remained unspent from a total budget of Rs 37,392.66 crore in 2024-25.

The opposition leader highlighted that the state utilized only Rs 2,704.23 crore of its Rs 8,989.60 crore capital budget and recorded a shortfall in Central assistance.

Meghachandra noted that Manipur's total outstanding debt and liabilities reached Rs 32,590.57 crore as of March 31, 2026, with 138 projects remaining incomplete.
