Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at age 75 in Goa after suffering a fatal cardiac arrest on Thursday morning.
During the 1999 Kargil War, Patekar paused his film career and obtained special permission from Defense Minister George Fernandes to serve at the frontlines.
Having trained for three years with the Maratha Light Infantry, Patekar spent over a fortnight near the Line of Control working with the Quick Response Team.
