Cyclone Arnab weakened from a very severe cyclonic storm into a severe cyclonic storm after crossing the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts between 2 am and 8 am on Wednesday.
The cyclone caused five deaths in Andhra Pradesh due to electrocution and falling trees, with one fatality reported each in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Kakinada, Konaseema, and West Godavari.
