Spain's national sports council (CSD) asked the country's sports tribunal on Thursday to assess whether La Liga president Javier Tebas committed a disciplinary offense.
The review follows comments made by Tebas on social media platform X on October 16 comparing Real Madrid's referee criticism to Nazi minister Joseph Goebbels' propaganda.
The Administrative Court for Sport (TAD) will determine if the remarks violate Spain's 1990 Sports Law regarding acts that harm sporting decorum.
