David Warner Convicted and Fined for Mid-Range Drink-Driving

Former Australia batter David Warner was convicted and fined $1500 in a Sydney court on August 18, 2026, after pleading guilty to mid-range drink-driving.

The 39-year-old attempted to swap seats with a passenger when approaching a random breath-testing site on Easter Sunday, blowing more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

Judge Clare Farnan ordered Warner to install an interlock device in his vehicle to prevent future operation while intoxicated, noting the offence was aggravated by the presence of children.
