A Nagpur woman was allegedly trafficked to Portugal under the guise of a job offer, only to be sold to a beer shop owner and forced into prostitution.
The victim reported that she paid ₹11 lakh to a Pune-based recruitment firm, which facilitated the fraudulent overseas employment scheme.
Local authorities have registered an FIR against the recruitment agency and are coordinating with international counterparts to secure the woman's safe return.
