An Islamabad anti-terrorism court ordered the Federal Investigation Agency to block the passports of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and 24 PTI lawmakers.
The investigating officer told the court that the accused face serious charges, including attacks on state institutions and promoting terrorism, and could flee the country.
The court's order comes amid heightened political activity by the PTI, which has announced a nationwide protest scheduled for September 27.
