Hundreds of activists from Dutch groups Geef Tegengas and Fossielvrij occupied a Microsoft data centre construction site in Amsterdam's Sloterdijk district.
Protesters scaled fences to halt work, citing concerns over massive electricity and water consumption and opposition to artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Dutch police arrested between 150 and 200 demonstrators who refused to leave the site voluntarily.
