
Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty tumbled in early trade on Thursday, driven by surging Brent crude oil prices exceeding $100 per barrel and rising US bond yields.
The 30-share BSE Sensex sank 632.68 points to 74,189.55, while the Nifty dropped 216.15 points to 23,222.55, with major selling witnessed in bank and NBFC stocks.
Amid the broader market downturn, the National Stock Exchange made its market debut on Thursday following its ₹22,569 crore IPO that was subscribed 5.71 times.
