Washington Freedom Secures Site for New Cricket Stadium

Washington Freedom received rezoning approval to build a 10,000-capacity cricket stadium in Frederick, Maryland, after a four-year search for a home venue.

The franchise, which won the 2024 MLC championship, aims to have the facility ready for the 2027 season to support the league's long-term infrastructure goals.

The project includes a public riverfront park that the franchise will design, fund, and maintain to serve as a community asset alongside the cricket ground.
