PG Operator Arrested Following Fatal Building Collapse in Delhi

Delhi Police arrested Sudhanshu, an operator of the 'Hostel Daze' PG, on September 9, 2026, following the September 6 collapse of a five-storey building in Satya Niketan.

The collapse resulted in seven deaths and five injuries, with authorities currently investigating unauthorized construction and repair work conducted on the basement and ground floor.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has suspended five officials, while the Delhi High Court has ordered city-wide safety audits of all PG accommodations to ensure building code compliance.
