Chennai Retrospective Features Six Decades of Thota Tharrani’s Art

Lalit Kala Akademi in Chennai will host a retrospective of Thota Tharrani’s work, showcasing approximately 280 paintings and drawings since 1969.

Curated by Ashrafi S. Bhagat, the exhibition explores the artist's versatility across watercolours, oils, and acrylics, highlighting his ability to pivot between figurative and abstract styles.

The event, which officially launches on October 24, includes works dating back to the artist's early years as a student.
